Indian Regional Basketball Results

Last week the Indians played in the Division I Regionals; the games that all their practices led up to. The Indians competed well, as always, and continued to impress the fans of the game.

On Tuesday, the team had a bye and advanced to the next game which was on Friday in Rexford.

“I think we played pretty well during Regionals,” said Jesse Baxter, sophomore. “We play up to our competition everytime we play.”

Last week the Indians fought hard in their first game on Friday, the score was 52 to 41 against Triplains-Brewster.

“I think we stepped up and did our best,” said Colton Neitzel, sophomore.

The Indians played the number one seed Northern Valley on Sunday in the championship game, which was neck and neck throughout all four quarters. The Indians led most of the way, but didn’t pull off the win.

“Overall I think we played well as a team throughout Regionals,” said Brady Dinkel, junior. “We fell short of winning Regionals but played our hearts out throughout the game.”

The Indians took home the runner up trophy from Regionals and are advancing to the Sub-State tournament with a game on Friday, March 1 at Wakeeney at 6 p.m.
