Quinter Invitational Results

The St. Francis High School track teams competed in the Quinter Invitational Track and Field Meet on Friday, April 26. The Indians earned a 3rd place finish and the Lady Indians tied for 12th in the 20-team meet. Teams competing in the meet included Brewster, Dighton, Ellis, Golden Plains, Greeley County, Hill City, Hoxie, Natoma, Ness City, Northern Valley, Palco, Quinter, Rawlins County, St. Francis, Stockton, Triplains, Wallace County, Weskan, Western Plains, and Wheatland/Grinnell.

St. Francis had four individual event winners. Jordan Raby won the mens 100 meter dash. Cody Baxter won the mens 300 meter hurdles. The mens 4 X 100 meter relay team consisting of Cody Baxter, Jordan Raby, Brady Dinkel, and Shadryon Blanka also won first as did the 4 X 400 meter relay team of Cody Baxter, Jordan Raby, Brady Dinkel, and Jayce Nider.

Womens Division

Hoxie won the championship in the womens division winning 96 team points. Golden Plains placed second with 57 out-battling Wallace County with 55 for third. Ellis earned fourth with 50 team points. The rest of the competing teams finished in the following order:  5th (tie) - Northern Valley 43, 5th (tie) - Wheatland/Grinnell 43, 7th - Ness City 40, 8th - Hill City 30, 9th (tie) - Rawlins County 26, 9th (tie) - Dighton 26, 11th - Quinter 23, 12th (tie) - Natoma 18, 12th (tie) - St. Francis 18, 14th - Weskan 15, 15th - Greeley County 8, 16th - Triplains 6, and 17th - Western Plains 1. Natoma, Palco, and Stockton did not score in the womens division.

Lady Indians scoring in the womens division are listed below.

Lyden Lampe - 6th in 1600 meters (7:01.92)

Kara Maybury - 4th in 1600 meters (6:43.03)

Mia Morrow - 6th in 100 meters (14.92)

Hannah Zimbal - 3rd in 400 meters (1:05.37); 5th in 200 meters (29.84)

4 X 100 meter relay - 4th (55.29) - Mia Morrow, Lindsey Johnson, Emma Johnson, and Hannah Zimbal

Mens Division

Northern Valley won the mens division of the Quinter Invitational totaling 70 team points. Competition was close as Wallace County finished 2nd with 67 and St. Francis third with 61. Hoxie earned 4th place with 60 team points. The remainder of the field finished in the following order:  5th - Hill City 56, 6th - Ellis 45, 7th - Ness City 41, 8th - Dighton 37.5, 9th - Brewster 32, 10th - Greeley County 22, 11th - Golden Plains 18, 12th - Wheatland/Grinnell 16, 13th - Triplains 13, 14th - Weskan 11, 15th - Quinter 3, 16th - Western Plains 2, 17th - Rawlins County 1.5, 18th (tie) - Stockton 1, and 18th (tie) - Christian Family Educators 1. Natoma and Palco did not score in the mens division.

Cody Baxter - 1st in 300 meter hurdles (41.44). 

Brady Dinkel - 4th in 200 meters (24.50)

Isaiah Lee - 4th in long jump (18' 6.5")

Kobe Tice - 5th in javelin (137' 9")

Arthur Mourao - 6th in 110 meter high hurdles (22.92)

Jayce Nider - 4th in 400 meters (56.49)

Tiernan Poling - 4th in pole vault (12' 6")

Jordan Raby - 1st in 100 meter dash (12.05)

4 X 100 meter relay - 1st (43.35) - Coby Baxter, Jordan Raby, Brady Dinkel, and Shadryon Blanka

4 X 400 meter relay - 1st (3:37.90) - Cody Baxter, Jordan Raby, Brady Dinkel, and Jayce Nider
