Twenty-Six Seniors Graduate
The St. Francis Community High School Commencement was held on Sunday, May 12. Twenty-six seniors received their graduation diplomas. The graduates entered the gymnasium preceded by the Honor Guard consisting of Karly Bandel, Cassidy Busse, Alondra Gomez, Emma Hackler, Isaiah Lee, and Hannah Zimbal as the St. Francis High School Concert Band played the processional.
Jessica Confer gave the welcome. After the national anthem, beautifully performed by the Choir Ensemble, the alumni message was delivered by Amber (Kechter) Brown (Class of 1995). Mrs. Brown currently lives in Parker, Colorado, and works as a real estate agent.
Rob Schiltz was recognized for his many years of service to the St. Francis Schools. Mr. Schiltz is retiring at the end of the school year.
The seniors presented flowers to their parents as the class song "Time of Our Lives" was played. K.C. Krien delivered the senior farewell followed by the senior talk by Echoe Lennox.
Scholarships totaling more than $160,000 were presented by Principal David Morrow and Senior Class Sponsor Steve Jenkins. Diplomas were presented by Mr. Morrow and Superintendent Rob Schiltz. Jessica Confer delivered the benediction.

April Fernandez - York College (Nebraska) pursuing a bachelor's degree in music education
Brice Hays - Fort Hays State University to major in business management
Kaleb Hays - North Central Kansas Technical College (in Hays) for welding
Hunter Helton - Planning to work in Thompson, Manitoba, for All Terrain Bear Hunts; later plans to join the U.S. Navy
Wyatt Hilt - North Central Kansas Technical College (in Beloit) to study diesel mechanics
Draven Houtman - North Central Kansas Technical College (in Hays) to major in automotive technology
Lauren Johnson - Fort Hays State University majoring in chemistry (Pre-Optometry)
Lindsey Johnson - Fort Hays State University majoring in Biology (Pre-Med)
Richard Johnson - Northwest Tech to study to be an electrician
Connor Keller - Fort Hays State University majoring in history/secondary education
Joslyn Ketzner - Manhattan Area Technical College majoring in nursing
Hunter Kriegh - Northwest Tech majoring in engineering
K.C. Krien - Wichita State University majoring in business
Echoe Lennox - Kansas State University majoring in food science and minoring in musics with an emphasis on pre-medicine
Jorge Olivares - Planning to work for a Buick dealership and then get an AAS in automotive technology for GM

Alexander Queen - Catalyte Training in Denver to become a software engineer
Bryce Raby - Living Word Bible College in Columbia, Tennessee, to major in ministry

Shelby Wolff - UNC majoring in culinary arts and minoring in music
