Basketball Practice Begins
The 2019-20 basketball season will soon be underway. Practice begin on Monday, November 18, for high school teams in Kansas. The St. Francis Lady Indians held two-a-day workouts for the first few days of practice. Reporting to practice were fifteen student-athletes.
The Lady Indians will have 4 seniors, 2 juniors, 5 sophomores, and 4 freshmen on this year's squad. The team will be coached by Shaylinn Zweygardt and Matt Bandel. Team managers will be Cassidy Busse, Hailey Robbins, and Makaila Matthies.
Team members include:
Seniors: Karly Bandel, Alondra Gomez, Audrey Meyer, and Hannah Zimbal
Juniors: Emma Johnson and Mireya Palasio-Rocha
Sophomores: Jordyn Faulkender, Lyden Lampe, Mia Morrow, McKenna Poling, and Bailey Workman
Freshmen: Molly Gilliland, Jesslynn Houtman, Ellee Krien, and Rian Zimbal
The first competition date is Friday, December 6, when the Lady Indians will play Quinter in St. Francis.
