Letter Parents From Superintendent Penka March 28 2020

Parents/Guardians,

Governor Laura Kelly issued a stay-at-home order for all of Kansas starting Monday and lasting through April 19th. Though all patrons are encouraged to read the order in its entirety, the order says, essentially, that you are able to leave your homes, go to the grocery store, bank, or even go for a walk. She is just asking that everyone continue to practice social distancing and limit the amount of time out of your home.

Please know that schools are considered an “Essential Business” and we at USD 297, Saint Francis, will continue to educate your children through Continuous Learning to the best of our ability. We will continue with our plan for Continuous Learning that has been established and approved by the board of education. While continuing our students’ education, we will do everything in our power to keep everyone safe. Meals will still be provided Monday through Friday and paper packets will continue to be sent home.

Thank you for your support during this difficult time.

Superintendent,

Mark Penka
