Volleyball Teams Lose to Colby and Decatur County

The Lady Indian volleyball teams traveled to Colby on Tuesday, September 8, to compete with Colby and Decatur County in volleyball. The Lady Indians lost to both of their opponents.

In the varsity matches, St. Francis won the first game against Colby 25-17, but Colby won the next two games 13-25, 19-25, to take the match victory. St. Francis played well against a strong Decatur County team, but lost 15-25, 20-25.

In junior varsity action, St. Francis was defeated by Decatur County 7-25, 8-25. The JV also lost to Colby by scores of 21-25, 9-25. Scores in the C Team match vs Colby were:  16-25, 13-25. The Decatur County match score was 14-25, 19-25.

Next action for the Lady Indians will be Thursday evening when they travel to Wauneta, Nebraska to play against Wauntea/Palisade. Matches begin at 5:00 CT with the junior varsity match being played first. The varsity match will follow.
