Track Teams Compete at Oberlin
Schiltz Wins Two Events
The St. Francis High School Track teams traveled to Oberlin on Tuesday, May 1st, to compete in the Oberlin Invitational Track and Field Meet. The St. Francis boys placed 7th in the meet and the St. Francis girls placed 9th. Isaac Schiltz was a double event winner placing first in the mens high jump and triple jump. Mason Schiltz won the pole vault with at personal best of 13' 6".
Smith Center won the boys division scoring 97 team points. Decatur Community placed second with 81 and Oakley third with 68 2/3. The remainder of the boys teams finished in the following order: 4th (tie) Wheatland/Grinnell and Hoxie 68, 6th Norton Community 61, 7th St. Francis 56, 8th Phillipsburg 34, 9th Rawlins County 14 1/3; and 10th Dighton 10.

Decatur Community ran away with the team championship in the girls division with 144 points. Norton Community placed second with 97. The rest of the girls teams finished in the following order: 3rd Smith Center 77, 4th Rawlins County 61, 5th Dighton 56, 6th Oakley 49, 7th Wheatland/Grinnell 32, 8th Phillipsburg 28, and 9th St. Francis 12.
