Homecoming Activities This Week

October 7-12 is Homecoming Week in St. Francis.  Many activities have been planned for the week. 

Monday is "Twin Day." Students are encouraged to dress up as twins. At 4:00 p.m. on Monday, the high school volleyball teams will play Greeley County in St. Francis. Monday evening, the seniors will "paint the streets" honoring a longtime homecoming tradition in St. Francis.

Tuesday is "Pajama Day." Wear your warm, snuggly jammies to school. The cross country team will compete in a meet at Hoxie at 3:00 p.m. The junior high volleyball teams will play Goodland in St. Francis at 4:30 p.m.

Wednesday is "VSCO Day." Wear your big T-shirts and scrunchies. Also on Wednesday, a FFA Dairy Cattle Judging Contest will be held in Bird City at 9:00 a.m.

Thursday is "Disney Character Day." Dress up as your favorite Disney character. The junior high football and volleyball teams will host Hoxie at 4:30 p.m. The Homecoming Bonfire will be held behind the high school at approximately 8:00 p.m. After the Bonfire, an ice cream social will be held in the High School Cafeteria.

Friday is "Green and Gold Day." Everyone is encouraged to dress in green and gold and support the Indians. A pep rally will be held in the High School Gymnasium at 2:30 p.m. The community is invited to attend. From 5:00-7:00 p.m., the Booster Club is sponsoring a Chili Cook-off at the High School. Come and enjoy the chili! At 7:00 p.m. Friday evening, the Indians will play the Wichita County Indians in the Homecoming football game. Wichita County in currently undefeated and highly ranked. Come to the game and cheer for the Indians. The homecoming king and queen will be crowned during halftime of the football game.

Saturday evening the Homecoming Dance will be held in the High School Cafeteria from 8:00 to 11:30 p.m.
