Senior polishes future to become dentist

By Hadleigh Hilt

Jackie Allen, English teacher, has been known to advise high school girls to date a guy like Senior Adam Krien.

“Why?” Allen asked. “He is one of the kindest young men I have met. Because of his charm, sincere communication, and gentle humor, he is a natural leader. I have never seen or heard him be unkind to anyone.

“Furthermore, he is the most conscientious student I've ever had. He knows what he wants, and has been diligent in preparing to be ahead of the curve and making sure he is ready for what is coming.”

Garin Cooper, senior, agreed with Allen about Krien being driven.

“Adam is always so confident about things and has his head on straight.” Garin Cooper, senior, said.

Krien is a St. Francis native. He has been going to school in St. Francis since preschool and plans to continue his education at Creighton University. He is planning on majoring in Nutrition or Exercise Science with an ultimate goal of becoming a dentist. He chose this school because it offers tons of resources and opportunities to get him to where he would like to be. Another perk of this school is that it has a dental school close to their campus. Krien has always been interested in dentistry but never gave it much thought until he had the opportunity to job shadow a dentist in Goodland, Kan. Each time he went his interest in dentistry grew more and more and that’s how he decided his career path for right now.

Adam always walks down the hall with a smile and never fails to greet passersby. Along with being friendly, he is a great friend to talk to.

“If I ever want good advice, I go to Adam.” Cooper said “His opinion matters a lot to me and his morals are always great.”

Adam also has great fun with his friends, especially when hunting.

“My favorite memories with Adam,” said Kobe Tice, senior, “are from hunting trips with him. This year my favorite memory with him was limiting  out on doves multiple times together.”

Along with being a great friend he is a great son, cousin, and brother.

“My favorite memory with Adam is over Thanksgiving break when all the cousins would go hunting together,” said Ben Busse, sophomore.
