All-NWKL Volleyball Team Selected
The Northwest Kansas League coaches selected the 2006 All-NWKL team this week. The team is a highly talented group of young women chosen from athletes from the eight league schools. Each year only twelve young women are selected to receive this All-NWKL honor (with a maximum of eight honorable mention selections.) This is a very exclusive group when you consider the number of participants in volleyball at the eight league schools (more than 200). This year's selections include Alecia Zimbelman as an honorable mention selection. Alecia has been a four year participant in volleyball and a three year starter for St. Francis High School. "She has been a very consistent player for our program as well as being a quality young woman. She is very deserving of this honor," commented Coach Kechter. "She, along with her classmates, will be missed in our program."
