New Track Surface Completed

During the 2007 summer months, a new surface was applied to the track at St. Francis High School. The old surface was becoming weathered and was badly needing some repair. The new surface will not only be very nice to compete on but will also be safer for all participants.
The original track surface was black in color, but red was selected to be use this time. The surface was applied by Renner Sports Surfaces of Denver, Colorado at a cost of $61,250. The surface has a base of black asphalt with a layer of polyurethane rubber granules and a two part seal coat.
Track athletes, and community members as well, will certainly enjoy the new surface.
