Biology Classes Dissect Fetal Pigs
On February 6, 7, and 8th, the biology classes were learning from a dissection lab. Both 2nd and 3rd hour biology classes dissected fetal pigs to gain a better understanding of mammal anatomy. Mr. Olofson, biology instructor, said the company he orders the pigs from were out of the size he normally orders, so the company sent the next size larger pigs. As you can see, some of the pigs barely fit in the dissection pans, even though Mr. O. bought larger pans for this activity. The students seemed to enjoy the dissection (everything but the smell). For more photos of this lab exercise see the "Photos" section.
