Lucas giving his report on "Shock Wave" by Clive Cussler

"Book in a Box"

The 7th grade English students in Marti Schlittenhardt's classes recently were assigned a book report activity called "Book in a Container."  The students were to read a book and prepare a book report inside a container (usually a box).  The requirements for the outside of the container were:  the book title, author, major characters, the setting (time and place), and some major details about the story.  The requirements for the inside of the container were:  ten questions based upon the story, ten vocabulary words (with definition, part of speech, a synonym and antonym for the word), and five objects that have a connection to the story.  Students were also required to discuss the following "elements:"  the setting, characters, conflict, and resolution.
