Government Class Visits With Congressman Moran
Launch the media gallery 1 playerMain St. Coffee Shop was filled with a diversity of Cheyenne County citizens on Thursday, February 28th to visit with Congressman Jerry Moran. Mr. Moran periodically meets with St. Francis citizens as part of his "listening tours." In attendance were students enrolled in Steve Jenkin's government class along with many other local people.
The students asked questions as well as listened while a variety of topics were discussed. A few of the items discussed included: the farm bill, health care, No Child Left Behind, energy resources, conservation, immigration, horse slaughter houses, and faith in the government.
