St. Francis Boys Win Own Invitational
Kinen Sets Meet Record in Hurdles
The St. Francis boys track team won the annual St. Francis Invitational Track and Field Meet on April 22nd. Fifteen teams competed in the meet. The boys scored 101 points to outdistance all other teams. Rawlins County placed 2nd with 80 points. Other boys team placings were 3rd-Winona-Triplains 59; 4th-Decatur County 54 1/3; 5th-Greeley County 48 1/3; 6th-Hoxie 48; 7th-Oakley 41 1/3; 8th-Wallace County 39 1/2; 9th-Wray 31; 10th-Weskan 17; 11th-Burlington 12; 12th-Cheylin 10; 13th-Brewster 7; 14th-Bethune 6 1/2: 15th-Idalia 3.
The Indians won four first place medals. Trent Kinen won the 110m hurdles and the 300m hurdles (41.91). Trent set a new meet record in the 110 m hurdles with a clocking of 15.02. Matt Raile won the triple jump with a leap of 40' 3 1/2". Ted Crabtree won the pole vault with a vault of 13' 6".
The Lady Indians place 10th with 26 points. Sidnee Crabtree won the javelin with a distance of 103' 3".
