On Thursday evening, September 11th, the Lady Indian teams
hosted Wauneta/Palisade (NE) in volleyball action. All three
matches were played in the high school gymnasium. This was
the first home match for the 2008 season.
The evening began with C team action. St. Francis
lost to Wauneta/Palisade in two games 19-15; 20-25. The JV team
worked hard to overcome a poor serving performance and defeated the
visitors by scores of 23-25; 25-22; 15-12. In varsity action,
Wauneta/Palisade brought a talented team to St. Francis. The
Lady Indians played well but were defeated by the Broncos in a best
of five contest 15-25; 21-25; 19-25.
