Teams Compete Well in JV and C Action
The junior varsity and C team volleyball teams were involved in separate competitions on Saturday, September 27th. The junior varsity team traveled to Brewster where they competed in a quad. The St. Francis junior varsity team won all three of their matches on the day. St. Francis defeated Heartland Christian by scores of 25-16; 25-15, Golden Plains by scores of 25-9; 25-9, and Triplains by scores of 25-16; 28-26.
The C team competed in a consolation bracket tournament in Oberlin on Saturday. The team did not play well in their first match lost to eventual champion Quinter by scores of 9-25; 5-25. The team played much better in their second match against Rawlins County and lost in a close contest 25-23; 11-25; 13-15. In the third match of the day, the young Lady Indians defeated Goodland by a score of 25-17; 25-6 to earn seventh place.
