Coaches Assume New Assignments
Several changes in coaching assignments have been made for the 2008-2009 school year. Some coaches have assumed different positions while other positions have been filled by personnel that are new to the district.
In junior high volleyball, Tina Elliott has assumed the A team coaching position. Tina was the B team coach a year ago assisting Terri Orth. Joining her is first year coach Leigh Ann (Faulkender) Bandel as assistant coach. Both Tina and Leigh Ann are graduates of St. Francis High School.
In junior high boys basketball, David Butler has accepted the A team coaching position previously held by Larry Flemming. Ted Busse has taken the junior high girls basketball coaching position previously held by Tim Lambert.
Several coaching assignment changes have been made in the high school basketball programs. Jeff Beims has been hired as head boys basketball coach replacing Ward Cassidy. Devin Dinkel will continue to serve as assistant boys basketball coach. In girls basketball, Larry Flemming has accepted the head coaching position. Larry has served as assistant girls basketball coach for several years under previous head coach Ted Busse. Susan Dinkel has been hired as assistant girls basketball coach.
Daryl Loyd has resigned as assistant high school wrestling coach so that he can better follow his children's activities. The position has been filled by Brad Matthies.
All coaches bring knowledge, experience, and enthusiasm to their respective sports.
