Tracksters Qualify for State Meet in 14 Events

Several St. Francis tracksters performed very well in the 2A Regional Track and Field Meet in Meade, Kansas on Friday, May 22. Those athletes who placed in the top four places in the regional meet qualified for the state track meet to be held in Wichita on Friday and Saturday (May 29 and 30).
St. Francis qualified eleven athletes for the state meet. Those athletes earning a fourth place finish or better and thus qualifying for the state meet include the following:

Elizabeth Gienger--3rd--400 m
Elizabeth Gienger--3rd--200 m
Girls 4 X 400 m relay--3rd--Elizabeth Gienger, Jenna Hill, Ashlynn Lambert, and Mikaela Grace
Boys
Shawn Warren--1st--Shot Put
Trent Raile--4th--Long Jump
Trent Kinen--2nd 110 m hurdles
Sam Sowers--3rd--110 m hurdles
Matt Raile--4th--100 m
Trent Raile--4th--400m
Trent Kinen--2nd--300 m hurdles
Boys 4 X 100 m relay--Trent Kinen, Trent Raile, Matt Raile, and Drew Zweygardt
