Hazardous Occupation Training Course Offered
A Hazardous Occupation Training program will be held at Colby Implement in Colby, Kansas, on Saturday, April 2nd, from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM. The training is for youth ages 13-15 who will be working on a farm. The program will cover topics such as general safety information, grain safety, tractor safety, safety on the road, pesticide safety, and farm safety. Lunch, beverages, and snacks will be provided by the Cheyenne, Logan, Thomas, Rawlins, and Sherman County Farm Bureau Associations.
Assignments are required to be completed prior to class start-up. Contact Linda Elfers at 785-332-3171 for more information. Pre-register by March 28, 2011. There is a fee of $10 to cover the manual and materials. (Minimum of 10 required to hold the course.)
