Teams Compete in Quinter Invitational
The St. Francis High School track teams participated in the Quinter Invitational Track and Field Meet on Friday, April 30th. St. Francis competed with partial rosters due to the fact that several track athletes were absent from the meet while participating in the State Journalism Contest.
The St. Francis boys team placed 3rd in the thirteen team meet (behind Quinter and Hill City) by scoring 66 points. The girls (with a very limited roster) placed 13th scoring only 2 points.
Athletes placing in the meet were:
Isaac Schiltz--1st in the pole vault (12' 0"); 4th in the high jump (5' 10")
Matt Raile--1st in the 100m (11.34); 3rd in the shot put (43' 1/2")
Garrett Figgins--1st in the 300m hurdles (43.65); 2nd in the 110m high hurdles (15.81)
Drew Zweygardt--4th in the 200m (24.47)
The boys 4 X 100m relay (Matt Raile, Trent Raile, Drew Zweygardt, and Brock Zweygardt) place 1st with a time of 45.89 seconds.
Kaitlin Figgins --5th in the discus with a toss of 85' 1 3/4"
