Post-Season Tournaments Near
Post-season tournament time is almost here! The Indian wrestling team will be participating in the 3-2-1A Regional Wrestling tournament in Lakin, Kansas on Feburary 17-18. Participating teams include: Atwood-Rawlins County, Bird City-Cheylin, Cimarron, Elkhart, Ellis, Goodland, Hays-Thomas More Prep-Marian, Hill City, Holcomb, Hoxie, Lakin, Leoti-Wichita County, Meade, Montezuma-South Gray, Norton Community, Oakley, Oberlin-Decatur Comm., Phillipsburg, Plainville, Quinter, Scott Community, St. Francis, Stockton, Sublette, and Wakeeney-Trego Community. Seeding will be done on Friday morning February 17th.
The boys and girls basketball teams will be competing in the 2A-Division 1 Sub-State Basketball Tournament in Quinter on February 27 through March 3. Participating teams in the 6-team substate are Hoxie, Osborne, Quinter, Stockton, St. Francis, and Kensington-Thunder Ridge. The sub-state seeding will be on Wednesday, February 22. Brackets will be posted after 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday afternoon on the KSHSAA website and on the St. Francis school website. Boys quarterfinal games will be played at the higher seed on Monday, Feb. 27. Girls games will be played on Tuesday, February 28 at the higher seed. Semi-finals and finals will be played at the primary site--Quinter. Boys games will be held on Thursday. The girls games will be played on Friday. Saturday will be girls and boys finals.
