High School VB Teams Compete in Atwood
The high school volleyball teams traveled to Atwood on Tuesday, September 15, to compete with Rawlins County and Wallace County. The Lady Indians played well, but lost the majority of their matches.
The varsity team lost to Rawlins County in two close sets 21-25, 23-25. The Lady Indians won the first set against Wallace County, but the Lady Wildcats came back to defeat the Lady Indians in close competition 25-21, 25-27, 26-28.
The junior varsity team won one of the two matches they played. They were defeated by Rawlins County 10-25, 25-21, 11-15. The Lady Indians then defeated Wallace County 25-20, 18-25, 15-11.
The C team had only one match on the evening. The C team lost to Rawlins County by scores of 25-22, 16-25, 10-15.
Next competition for the Lady Indians will be September 24th when they will host Dundy County and Chase County in St. Francis. Start time is 4:00 PM.
