Volleyball Teams Compete in Oberlin Invitational
The high school varsity and junior varsity teams were busy on Saturday, October 3rd, competing in the Oberlin Invitational Volleyball Tournament. The varsity team was 1-3 on the day while the junior varsity team went 0-4.
Decatur County won the varsity team championship with are record of 4-0. Hoxie was 3-1 for the day while Rawlins County was 2-2 and Norton was 0-4. Results of the varsity tournament follow: Decatur County defeated Rawlins County 25-20, 25-20; Hoxie defeated St. Francis 25-18, 25-23; Rawlins County defeated Norton 25-22, 25-29; Decatur County defeated Hoxie 25-19, 25-19; St. Francis defeated Norton 25-19, 25-14; Hoxie defeated Rawlins County 25-21, 25-13; Decatur County defeated St. Francis 25-16, 25-12; Hoxie defeated Norton 24-26, 25-12, 25-15; Rawlins County defeated St. Francis 24-26, 25-22, 25-23; Decatur County defeated Norton 25-10, 25-10.
Decatur County also won the junior varsity division with a 4-0 record. Norton was 3-1, Hoxie 2-2, Rawlins County 1-3, and St. Francis 0-4. Results of the junior varsity tournament follow: Hoxie defeated Rawlins County 25-22, 25-9; Decatur County defeated St. Francis 25-8, 25-8; Norton defeated Hoxie 25-16, 25-19; Decatur County defeated Rawlins County 25-19, 25-18; Norton defeated St. Francis 25-14, 25-21; Decatur County defeated Hoxie 25-17, 25-23; Rawlins County defeated Norton 25-10, 25-10; Rawlins County defeated St. Francis 25-22, 25-23; Decatur County defeated Norton 25-23, 22-25, 15-9.
Next action for the volleyball team will be Saturday, October 10th, when they will host the St. Francis Quad. Other teams competing in the quad are Cheylin, Hayes Center, and Hitchcock County. Good luck, girls!
