Junior Varsity Wrestlers Compete Well
Five St. Francis freshmen wrestlers competed in the Goodland JV tournament on Saturday, December 5th. Two Indian wrestlers, Mikey Leibbrandt (112) and Dylan Wolaver (140) placed first. Casey Keller (103) and Zach Gienger (171) each placed second. Thomas Douthit placed 3rd at 145. St. Francis won 13 matches on the day and lost only five.

On Saturday, December 18th, the junior varsity wrestlers attended the Decatur County Junior Varsity Tournament in Oberlin. Zach Gienger won the championship at 171. Mikey Leibbrandt placed second at 112 pounds. Dylan Wolaver placed second at 140 and Casey Keller (103) and Thomas Douthit (145) each placed third.

On January 9th, the junior varsity wrestling team competed in the Dundy County Wrestling Tournament. The tournament included both varsity and junior varsity teams. St. Francis entered only the junior varsity team in the tournament and placed second overall (the only team in the top five places that was not a varsity team).
