Grade School Students Enjoy Last Day of School
Elementary Track Meet Performances Enjoyed by Many
St. Francis Elementary students seemed to enjoy the last day of school. Various activities were planned for the students depending on their ages. The kindergarten students went to the firehouse where they rode in the (barrel) train then explored and rode the firetruck. The students then went to the Pizza Hut where they got to make their own pizza. They later played in the park. First grade students had a scavenger hunt at the roadside park, toured the museum, toured the airport, and then had lunch in the park. Second grade students went bowling and then ate lunch in the park. All students in the elementary school were treated to the movie "Tooth Fairy" in the afternoon. School dismissed for the year at 2:00 PM.
Students in grades three through six participated in the annual St. Francis Elementary School Track Meet. The meet was organized by physical education instructor Ted Busse. Many high school students assisted in the running of the various events. After the track meet, the students ate their lunches and watched the "Tooth Fairy" movie.
