MINUTES OF THE SPECIAL BOARD MEETING––JULY 26, 2010
A special meeting of the Board was called to order at 7:40 a.m. on the above date by Vice-President Bonnie Zweygardt in the St. Francis Administration office, with all members present except Ed Marin, Mary Beth Miller, and Derrick Tice.
A motion was made by John Knodel, seconded by Sherry Weeks, and carried to approve the agenda that had been mailed to Board members on July 21, 2010.
The main purpose for this special meeting was a review of the proposed budget for FY 2011. Following review and discussion of all funds in the FY 2011 budget, John Knodel moved, Sherry Weeks seconded, and it carried that the FY 2011 budget be published in the July 29 edition of the St. Francis Herald as proposed. The overall mill levy for this budget is projected at 39.354 mills (last year’s budget was 35.026 mills). The budget hearing is scheduled to be held at the next regular Board meeting on August 12.
The administration and Board members discussed a few miscellaneous items, but no action was taken.
The Board received and read a thank-you note from a graduating senior expressing appreciation for the scholarship he had received.
At 8:20 a.m., Kelly Gienger moved that the meeting adjourn; the motion was seconded by John Knodel and carried.
