This page is to inform the public about any changes in the activity schedule as well as to relay information that has been received recently about upcoming activities. Thursday, April 26, 2018 - Junior High Track at Oberlin

The junior high track teams will compete in Oberlin on Thursday, April 26. The meet begins at 3:00 p.m. for field events and 4:30 p.m. for running events. The 3200 m will be ran at 3:45 p.m. Competing teams include Decatur Community, Hoxie, Rawlins County, and St. Francis.

Shot - Girls (North Ring)
Shot - Boys (South Ring)
Discus - Girls (East cage)
Discus - Boys (West cage)
Boys Long Jump followed by Triple Jump (West Pit)
Girls Long Jump followed by Triple Jump (East Pit)
High Jump - Boys followed by Girls (NW corner of track)
Pole Vault - Girls followed by Boys (SW corner of track)

Friday April 27, 2018 - Junior High Track at Quinter Invitational

The junior high track teams will compete in the Quinter Invitational on Friday, April 27. (If the weather is bad, the meet will be rescheduled for Monday, April 30.) Participating schools include:  Brewster, Cheylin, Christian Family Educators, Dighton, Golden Plains, Healy, Heartland Christian, Hoxie, Northern Valley, Oakley, Quinter, St. Francis, Triplains, Weskan, Western Plains, and Wheatland-Grinnell.

Field events begin at 10:00 a.m. The 3200 m will be run during the field events at 10:15 a.m. Finals for the running events will begin at 11:45 a.m.

Friday, April 27, 2018 - HS Track at Quinter Invitational

The high school track team will compete in the Quinter Invitational Track and Field Meet on Friday, April 27. If the weather is bad, the meet will be rescheduled to Monday, April 30th. Participating schools include:  Brewster, Cheylin, Dighton, Ellis, Golden Plains, Greeley County, Healy, Heartland Christian, Hill City, Hoxie, Natoma, Ness City, Northern Valley, Palco, Quinter, Rawlins County, St. Francis, Stockton, Triplains, Wallace County, Weskan, Western Plains, and Wheatland-Grinnell.

Field events begin at 3:00 p.m. Running events begin at 4:45 p.m. The girls field events will be held in the north participation areas and the boys field events will be held in the south participation areas.

Friday, April 27, 2018 - HS Golf at Atwood

The high school golf team will compete in Atwood on Friday, April 27 at 3:00 p.m. The meet was rescheduled from Saturday, April 21.

 

Saturday, April 28, 2018 - ACT Test at St. Francis

The ACT test that was originally scheduled for April 14 and postponed due to weather has been rescheduled for Saturday, April 28. The test will be given in the St. Francis High School cafeteria at 8:00 a.m.

 

Tuesday, May 1, 2018 - HS Golf at Oakley Invitational

The high school golf team will compete in the Oakley Invitational on Tuesday, May 1. Tee-off is scheduled for 3:00 p.m. at Oakley Country Club (815 W South 2nd Street). Competing teams include Oakley, Atwood-Rawlins County, Brewster, Colby, Goodland, Greeley County, Heartland, Hill City, Hoxie, Plainville, St. Francis, Tri-Plains, Wallace County, and Wheatland/Grinnell.

 

Tuesday, May 1, 2018 - HS /Track at Oberlin Invitational

The high school track teams will compete in the Oberlin Invitational Track and Field Meet on Tuesday, May 1. The girls pole vault and boys high jump will begin at 2:45 p.m. The remainder of the field events will begin at 3:00 p.m. Running events will begin at 4:45 p.m. Competing teams include Decatur Community, Hoxie, Norton, Phillipsburg, Rawlins County, St. Francis, and Smith Center.

The girls javelin will be held south of the tennis courts. The boys javelin will be held south of the pole vault area. The shot put and discus will be held on the fields east of the stadium. (Girls shot - North ring; Boys shot - South ring; Girls discus - West cage; Boys discus - East cage)

Friday, May 4, 2018 - HS Track at Colby Invitational

The high school track teams will compete in the Colby Invitational on Friday, May 4. The field events will begin at 3:00 p.m. and the running events at 5:00 p.m. The track is located at 1600 West 3rd Street in Colby. Participating teams include Colby, Brewster, Golden Plains, Goodland, Hill City, Holcomb, Hoxie, Logan, Norton, Oakley, Quinter, Sharon Springs, St. Francis, Triplains, Ulysses, and Weskan.

High Jump – Girls followed by Boys
Shot Put - Girl’s - East Ring; Boys West Ring
Discus - Girls - West Ring; Boys - East Ring
Long Jump - Girls - East Pit; Boys - West Pit

Javelin – Boys - Behind Peoples State Bank & St. Thomas Historical Residence (200 S Range Ave) 
Girls – South of East Discus Ring across the street.

Sunday, May 6, 2018 - FFA Banquet

The St. Francis High School FFA Banquet will be held at 6:00 p.m. Sunday, May 6, at the Cheyenne County Fairgrounds. The time has been changed from what was printed on the school calendar.

 

Thursday, May 10, 2018 - High School Golf at NWKL Tournament

The high school golf team will travel to Atwood today to compete in the Northwest Kansas League Golf Tournament. The tournament will begin at 3:00 p.m. on the Atwood County Club. Participating teams include Decatur Community, Dighton, Hoxie, Greeley County, Wallace County, Rawlins County, and St. Francis.

 

Friday, May 18, 2018 - HS Track at Regional Meet in Smith Center

The high school track teams will be competing in the Regional Track Meet in Smith Center on Friday, May 18. Field events begin at 2:00 p.m. Preliminaries begin at 4:30 p.m. with finals at 6:00 p.m. Competing schools include:  Belleville-Republic County, Bennington, Brookville-Ell-Saline, Claflin-Central Plains, Ellis, Hill City, Hoxie, LaCrosse, Lincoln, Oakley, Oberlin-Decatur Community, Plainville, Saline-Sacred Heart, Smith Center, St. Francis, and WaKeeney-Trego Community.
