Junior High Wrestlers Compete in Norton

The junior high wrestling team traveled to Norton on Thursday evening, February 10th, to compete with teams from Stockton, Smith Center, Ellis, and Norton. St. Francis had a difficult evening, winning 9 of the 27 matches wrestled. The individual results are listed below.

Won by decision over Younger of Ellis 10-6

RILEY SHAY

GARRETT BRUNK

Coach Steve Jenkins had the following comments on the evening, "I thought we were a little off tonight. We have fewer than 10 days left in the season and I hope we can rally."

Jude Faulkender, 7th grader, commented, "Tonight was a fun night for me personally, but I also know we have some work to do before the junior high league tournament."

The next competition for the wrestling team will be on Thursday, February 17th, when they will travel to Atwood to compete with teams from Hoxie, Trego Community, Oakley, and Rawlins County. 

The wrestlers will compete in the Northwest Kansas League Junior High Wrestling Tournament in Oberlin on Tuesday, February 22th.
