C-Team Volleyball Girls Compete in Phillipsburg
On Saturday, August 27th, the high school volleyball C-team competed in Phillipsburg. The Phillipsburg C-Team Tournament was set up as a 2-set round robin where set wins and defensive points allowed determined competition in the bracket play.
St. Francis lost to Colby 17-25; 23-25 in the first match. The Lady Indians then split with Plainville 25-13; 23-25 in the next match. In the third match of the day, St. Francis was defeated by Phillipsburg 10-25; 19-25. St. Francis then defeated Ellis 25-20; 25-23 in the last match of pool play.
The Lady Indians matched up with Colby in bracket play. St. Francis was defeated by Colby 25-20 and 25-14 in the third place match.
The Lady Indian varsity and junior varsity teams will play their first matches of the season on Tuesday in Hoxie against Hoxie and Golden Plains.
