Gove County Fall Classic Saturday

The St. Francis Lady Indians will be competing in the Gove County Fall Classic Volleyball Tournament on Saturday, September 10th. The tournament will be played at Wheatland High School and Grinnell Middle School. The tournament will consist of two pools with the top teams from each pool playing in the championship bracket and the 3rd and 4th place teams from each pool playing in the consolation bracket.  Pool play will begin at 8:30 AM at both sites. Sites for bracket competition will be announced the day of the tournament.

St. Francis will compete in Pool A at Wheatland High School. Other teams in Pool A are: Wheatland-Grinnell, Quinter, and Wallace County. Pool B will consist of Trego Community, Decatur Community, Weskan, and Lakin. The match schedule for pool play is listed below.

Pool A at Wheatland High School:  Wheatland-Grinnell vs Quinter; Wallace County vs St. Francis; Wheatland Grinnell vs St. Francis; Quinter vs Wallace County; Wheatland-Grinnell vs Wallace County; St. Francis vs Quinter.

Pool B at Grinnell Middle School:  Trego Community vs Decatur Community; Weskan vs Lakin; Decatur Community vs Lakin; Trego Community vs Weskan; Weskan vs Decatur Community; Lakin vs Trego Community.

The junior varsity volleyball team will be traveling to Leoti on Saturday. They will play in a quad with Wichita County (Leoti), Wallace County (Sharon Springs), and Garden City. Matches begin at 9:00 AM and will be played in the Wichita County High School gym on two courts. Admission is free. St. Francis will play three consecutive matches.  The schedule is below.
