JV Football Team Defeats Colby
On September 5th, the St. Francis junior varsity football team hosted the Colby Eagles on Greene Field. The Indians won the contest by a score of 20-14. Each team scored in the first two periods and the score was tied at halftime 14-14. Cade Bracelin scored on a 4 yard run in the 4th period to put the Indians ahead for good.
Scoring for the Indians: Mike Leibbrandt - 32 yard run - 1st quarter; Mike Leibbrandt - 40 yard run - 2nd quarter; Foster Grant - 2 point conversion pass from Lane Hoffman - 2nd quarter; Cade Bracelin - 4 yard run 4th quarter.
Scoring for Colby: 55 yard pass - 1st quarter; 10 yard run - 2nd quarter; 2 point converston pass - 2nd quarter
The Indian junior varsity team will travel to Norton to play the Blue Jays on Monday, September 12th. Kickoff is scheduled for 5:30 PM.
