JV Football Team Defeats Oakley
Queen Scores 4 TDs
On Monday, October 10th, the junior varsity football team traveled to Oakley to play the Plainsmen. The Indians got off to a great start, scoring two touchdowns in the first period. Derek Queen scored the first touchdown on a 60 yard run and then scored from 13 yards out a short time later to give the Indians a 12-0 lead after one quarter of play.
The Indian defense held strong throughout the contest and did not allow the Plainsmen to score. In the final period, Derek Queen scored on another 60 yard run. Keegan Sherlock ran for the two-point conversion. Capitalizing on good blocking from his teammates, Queen scored his fourth touchdown of the day on a 53 yard run to give the Indians a 26-0 win over the Plainsmen.
