Coach Nathan Smith made the following comments on the day, "Good tournament for the guys. We wrestled short handed with Hoffman, Lampe, and Hoard still coming back from injuries. Thomas Douthit was attending the stock show in Denver and Derek Queen was home sick so we had a lot of open weights. Dylan Wolaver wrestled sick all day Matt Howell separated his shoulder in his second match and Matt White battled a back injury most of the day. With all that the kids that were there competed well. We beat some good teams and put ourselves in position to win the tournament. At full strength the Sterling dual would have been a good one. We dual in Atwood Thursday night in what looks like it should be a very competitive dual."
The wrestlers will compete in Atwood on Thursday evening, January 19th. Junior high wrestling begins at 4:30 PM and will be followed by the high school wrestling at 6:30 PM.
