Junior High Basketball Practice Underway
The junior high basketball teams began practice during the past week. The teams are working hard to develop skills and knowledge of the game in preparation for their first games on Monday, November 3.
The boys team consists of twenty-two players. Boys participating in junior high basketball include:
Eighth grade: Cody Baxter, Brice Hayes, Kaleb Hays, Hunter Helton, Wyatt Hilt, Draven Houtman, Connor Keller, K. C. Krien, Kouper McQuigg, Jorge Olivares, Tiernan Poling, Alex Queen, Bryce Raby, Jordan Raby, and Tayton Weeter,
Seventh grade: Brady Dinkel, Chandler Hamilton, Seth Hilt, Isaiah Lee, Seth Mills, Dakota Morris, and Aaron White
Nick O'Loughlin will coach the boys team. He will be assisted by student coaches Cade Bracelin and Kyler Zweygardt.
The girls team consists of eighteen players. Students participating in girls basketball are:
Eighth grade: Jessica Confer, April Fernandez (mgr.), Lauren Johnson, Lindsey Johnson, Taylor Kinzer, Teagan Landenberger, Echoe Lennox, and Shalyn Zweygardt
Seventh grade: Karly Bandel, Cassidy Busse, Alondra Gomez, Marlo Jensen, Jayden McGinnis, Audrey Meyer, Sierra Robbins, Christina Stafford, Taighe Weeter, Perla Yanez, and Hannah Zimbal
Ted Busse will coach the girls team. He will be assisted by student coach Valerie Wurm.
The teams will have their first game on Monday, November 3, in St. Francis. The teams will play Cheylin.
