Regional Wrestling in Norton

The 2015 3-2-1A Regional Wrestling Tournament will be held in Norton on Friday, February 20, and Saturday, February 21. The tournament will be held at Norton High School (513 W.Wilberforce). The school is located one block south of Highway 36 (by the water tower).

Participating teams include: Atwood-Rawlins County, Belleville-Republic County, Cimarron, Ellis, Hill City, Hoxie, Ingalls, Lakin, Leoti-Wichita County, Montezuma-South Gray, Norton Community, Oakley, Oberlin-Decatur Community, Palco, Phillipsburg, Plainville, Scott Community, Smith Center, St. Francis, Stockton, Sublette, Tribune-Greeley County, and Wakeeney-Trego Community.

Wrestling begins at 2:00 p.m. on Friday and 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. The tournament schedule is below.

Ticket gates will not open for Friday's entry into Stull Gymnasium until 1:00 p.m.  Admission prices for Friday are:  K-12 $5, Adults $6.  Admission prices for Saturday are:  K-12 $7 and Adults $8.

A 16-man bracket will be used. There are 23 teams in the Regional, so the possibility exists that there will be up to 23 wrestlers in a weight class. The Kansas State High School Activities Association has established guidelines in the event of this and the bracket will be set accordingly.

Only tournament officials, workers, wrestlers, coaches and cheerleaders will be allowed on the mat area. Banners and signs that are attachable with masking tape are allowed. NO balloons will be allowed in the gym.  Coolers will not be allowed in the gym.
