Jr. High Girls to Present Musical

The St. Francis junior high will be presenting their annual musical on Tuesday, March 10, in the high school auditorium. Curtain time for "Princess Whatsername" is 7 p.m.

The story begins in the Misty Forest, where a girl is sleeping all alone. But when she wakes, nothing looks familiar to her. She can't remember anything -- not where she's from, how she got here or even her own name! She embarks on a journey to discover her identity and meets several fairy-tale characters along the way -- Hansel and Gretel, Rumpelstiltskin, Goldilocks and the Three Bears, Snow White and the Seven Dwarves, Cinderella and Rapunzel to name a few. Some are helpful, some are dangerous and some are just plain weird, but all have information to help our young girl eventually realize her true identity as a princess. As with any good fairy tale, there's also a prince! He's desperate to find the princess, but  he's always one step behind and inadvertently rescues and wins the hearts of all the wrong princesses!

Members of the cast include EmmaLee Archuleta, Karly Bandel, Cassidy Busse, Jessica Confer, April Fernandez, Alondra Gomez, Gabrielle Hafer, Marlo Jensen, Lauren Johnson, Lindsey Johnson, Taylor Kinzer, Teagan Landenberger, Echoe Lennox, Jayden McGinnis, Audrey Meyer, Alex Queen, Sierra Robbins, Christina Stafford, Taighe Weeter, Shelby Wolff, Perla Yanez, Hannah Zimbal and Shalyn Zweygardt. They are directed by Debbie Fiala.

"Princess Whatsername" is written by Brian D. Taylor, with music by Bill Francoeur. It is produced by special arrangement with Pioneer Drama Service, Englewood, Colorado.

There will be an admission charge of $3 for adults and $2 for students at the door.
