SAINT FRANCIS, KAN. — The junior high Indians came to play on Tuesday night, November 8, and walked away with big wins. The boys’ junior high B-Team Indians had an outstanding victory against the Tribune Jackrabbits, 26-23. The boys’ A-Team Indians dominated the Tribune Jackrabbits ending the game with a score of 53-18.

“It was a fun game to play, and very intense,” said Ben Busse, Saint Francis sixth grader. Busse said he enjoys playing basketball very much; it’s his favorite.

The two B-Teams matched up well and close to the same skill level, making it an interesting game.

“It was a hard-fought game, and really close,” said Eli Mills, Saint Francis sixth grader. Mills said he really enjoys playing the game.

The boys A-Team ran away with the lead early on and never looked back. The Indians A-Team also looked to be noticeably taller than the Jackrabbits.

Nicholas O’Loughlin, junior high boys basketball coach, said he was impressed with the way the boys played.

“We did a lot of good things, and made a lot of improvements,” said O’Loughlin.

The next three home games for the junior high boys basketball team will be Tuesday, Nov. 15, against Hoxie; Thursday, Nov. 17 against Atwood;  and Monday, Nov. 21 against Sharon Springs.
