Junior High Wrestling Begins
Junior high wrestling practice began with the new year. The junior high wrestling team will hold their first competition on Thursday, January 26, 2017, when the young wrestlers travel to Oberlin to compete with Decatur Community, Rawlins County, Phillipsburg, and Smith Center.
The wrestling team is coached by Dylan Loyd. Nine student athletes comprise the wrestling team including:
Eighth graders: Jesse Baxter, Shadryon Blanka, Garin Cooper, Rylan Dolye, Colton Neitzel, Tyson Poling, and Kobe Tice.
Seventh graders: Elijah Mills and Caleb Todd.
Sixth graders are not allowed to wrestle according to KSHSAA regulations.
The following students will serve as wrestling managers: Ben Busse, Seth Grice, Garrett Helton, Cutter Neitzel, and Preston Witzel.
