Sub-State Basketball Tournament At Quinter
Brackets Now Set
The KSHSAA 1A-Division I Sub-State basketball tournament will be held at Quinter High School on February 27 through March 4th. Teams participating in the tournament include Brewster/Winona-Triplains, LaCrosse, Quinter, St. Francis, and Victoria.
The seeding for the tournament was completed on Wednesday, February 22. The St. Francis Lady Indians have been seeded 3rd, and the Indians have earned the number 1 seed. The records and seeding positions are listed below.

On Monday, February 27, the girls and boys quarterfinals will be played at 6:00 and 7:30 pm at Quinter. The girls’ game will be seed 4 vs. seed 5 at 6:00 pm. The boys game will be seed 4 vs. seed 5 at 7:30 pm. Neither St. Francis team will play on Monday.
Thursday, March 2nd, Girls’ Semifinals – Two girls’ games, 6:00 and 7:30 p.m. at Quinter. The Lady Indians will play Triplains-Brewster on Thursday at 6:00 p.m. Note: The Lady Indians defeated Triplains-Brewster 46-36 on Thursday evening and will now play Quinter in the Sub-State Championship game on Saturday.
Friday, March 3rd, Boys’ Semifinals – Two boys’ games, 6:00 and 7:30 p.m. at Quinter. The Indians will play LaCrosse at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Note: The Indians defeated LaCrosse 55-41 on Friday evening and will now play Triplains-Brewster in the Sub-State Championship game on Saturday.
Saturday, March 4th, Finals – Girls’ final 6:00 and boys final 7:30 p.m. at Quinter.
In determining which games will be played first on Thursday and Friday, the miles to the host school were added together. The teams with the greater total mileage will play at 6:00 p.m.
