Junior High Track Begins
Junior High Track had their first practice on Tuesday, March 8. Though the day was very windy, the team had an organizational team meeting and a light practice. Sweat suits were distributed with competition uniforms to be distributed at a later date.
This is the first season that 6th grade students have been a part of the the junior high track team in St. Francis. Several other NWKL schools have allowed 6th graders to participate for several years.
Forty-six student athletes have reported to practice. The team members include the following student-athletes.
Girls
Eighth Grade - Emma Johnson, Schuyler Lennox, Mireya Palasio-Rocha, and Kattie Wurm
Seventh Grade - Jordyn Faulkender, Joani Fuller, Miah Hackney, Hadleigh Hilt, Amy Jenkins, Lyden Lampe, Mia Morrow, Amanda Neitzel, McKenna Poling, Dawn Rice, Hailey Robbins, and Bailey Workman
Sixth Grade - Molly Gilliland, Jesslynn Houtman, Lydia Jenkins, Ellee Krien, Allison Rice, Talexa Weeter, and Rian Zimbal
Boys

The team is coached by Ted Busse, Kent Kechter, and Traci Price. The first competition date for the junior high tracksters is Tuesday, April 11, when the teams will compete in the Atwood Invitational.
