Indians Win St. Francis Invitational

Lady Indians Place 4th

The St. Francis Invitational Track and Field Meet was held on April 25 in cold and breezy weather. Though the conditions were less-than-ideal, many athletes turned in excellent performances during the meet. St. Francis won the boys division scoring 132 team points, The Lady Indians placed 4th in the girls division with 66 points.

Individual event winners for St. Francis include:  for the boys:  Jordan Raby, 100m dash; Taylor Rogers, 200m dash, Brady Dinkel, 800m run; and the relay teams comprised of Tate Busse, Wyatt Hackler, Jordan Raby, and Taylor Rogers won both the 4 X 100 meter relay and the 4 X 400 meter relay; for the girls:  the 4 X 100m relay team of Hannah Zimbal, Madi Tice, Reagan Beims, and Taighe Weeter won first.

Girls Division

The girls division was won by Wallace County with 120 team points. Dundy County - Stratton and Rawlins County tied for second place with 113 points. The remainder of the teams finished in the following order:  4th - St. Francis 66, 5th - Decatur Community, 6th (tie)- Greeley County, 6th (tie) - Triplains 31, and 8th - Cheylin 24.

Reagan Beims - 4th in 200 meters (30.14)

Emileigh Dinkel - 6th in 300 meter hurdles (58.48)

Alondra Gomez - 4th in pole vault (6' 6")

Lauren Johnson - 3rd in 200 meters (29.92), 5th in 100 meters (14.18)

Lindsey Johnson - 4th in 100 meters (14.15)

Jylian Laten - 2nd in long jump (14' 8.5"), 6th in 100 meters (14.23)

Mallery Mills - 6th in high jump (4' 2")

Taighe Weeter - 2nd in 800 meters (2:44.87)

Hannah Zimbal - 3rd in 400 meters (1:06.03)

4 X 100 meter relay - 3rd (55.94)

4 X 400 meter relay - 1st (4:48.20)

4 X 800 meter relay - 3rd (13:52.74) - Cassidy Busse, Karly Bandel, Jessica Confer, and Hanna Bracelin

Boys Division

St. Francis earned the championship in the boys division with 132 points. Dundy County - Stratton placed 2nd with 115. Wallace County placed third with 86 team points. The rest of the field placed in the following order:  4th - Brewster 80, 5th - Rawlins County 44, 6th - Greeley County 35, 7th - Decatur Community 33, 8th - Triplains 22, and 9th - Cheylin 2.

Cody Baxter - 2nd in 100 meter hurdles (17.76)

Tate Busse - 2nd in high jump (6' 0")

Brady Dinkel - 1st in 800 meters (2:20.15), 3rd in triple jump (36' 9.5")

Trayton Doyle - 6th in discus (107' 0")

Wyatt Hackler - 2nd in 100 meters (11.71), 3rd in high jump (5' 6")

Luin Norris - 4th in discus (121" 7")

Tiernan Poling - 3rd in pole vault (10' 0"), 4th in triple jump (35' 11.75")

Jordan Raby - 1st in 100 meters (11.70)

Taylor Rogers - 1st in 200 meters (23.45)

Dalton Straub - 2nd in long jump (19' 3"), 5th in javelin (121" 8"), 6th in 200 meters (25.55)

Brock Waters - 5th in triple jump (35' 11")

Tayton Weeter - 2nd in pole vault (10' 6")

4 X 100 meter relay - 1st (44.84) - Wyatt Hackler, Jordan Raby, Tate Busse, and Taylor Rogers

4 X 400 meter relay - 1st (3:33.47) - Jordan Raby Wyatt Hackler, Taylor Rogers, and Tate Busse

4 X 800 meter relay - 2nd (9:39.01) - Kouper McQuigg, Brady Dinkel, Brock Waters, and Bryce Raby

​The St. Francis track teams will compete in the Quinter Invitational on Friday, April 28.
