MINUTES OF THE SPECIAL BOARD MEETING – SEPTEMBER 25, 2017
A special meeting of the Board was called to order at 7:00 p.m. on the above date by President Cale Rieger in the high school cafeteria, with all members present. Amanda Miller was present from the St. Francis Herald, to observe and take notes. Also present were approximately 30 concerned citizens.
Mila Bandel made a motion to approve the agenda; the motion was seconded by Chris Bracelin and carried.
Next, Cale Rieger requested a two-hour executive session for the purpose of discussing non-elected personnel/coaching issue with the justification of protecting the privacy interests of the individual being discussed. At 7:03 p.m. Derrick Tice made a motion to go into a 2 hour executive session; seconded by Troy Hilt and carried. Cale Rieger instructed those present that if they wanted to address the board, they were to draw a number that would be their order to address the board during executive session. At that time, the board members and administrators moved to the Board room. Traci Neitzel, Board Clerk, organized those wishing to address the Board, sending them in one at a time for 3 minutes each. Seven individuals addressed the board.
At 8:21 p.m., the Board came out of executive session and resumed the meeting in the high school cafeteria. The audience was still present. Derrick Tice made a motion to make no changes in the football coaching staff at this time. The motion was seconded by Shannon Grover; upon vote, the motion passed with a 6-1 vote.
At 8:23 p.m., Derrick Tice moved that the meeting adjourn; the motion was seconded by Ed Marin and carried.
