Coach Dylan Loyd made the following comments on the upcoming Regional, "Going into this weekend I feel like this group is prepared. All of the groundwork has been done up to this point now, its just time to be grateful for the opportunity to go compete and to compete at a high level you have to that mindset. We know every year before the regional assignments are made that our regional will be very tough. This year it is very tough - anytime you have three 4A schools come down to 3-2-1A it adds depth. In order to qualify to the state tournament, the mindset doesn’t change no matter the year - you have to go out and wrestle hard and to your ability. In order to have success in this sport you have to be willing to live a certain lifestyle. We have some guys who have lived that lifestyle, they have put in the time, they have been disciplined in every aspect of their life and they are ready. As a coach I love this week because it’s fun. Treat it like its just another tournament, be relaxed, stay focused, and have fun and let the chips fall where they may."
