Sophomore Aubrey Dewey (5' 6") showed she was a real threat on the opening possession of the game. Dewey drained a pull-up jumper in the lane off the opening tip. Moments later, Taighe Weeter scored on a cut to the hoop (plus one) after receiving an assist from Hanna Bracelin. Bracelin followed with a free-throw extending the Lady Indian lead to 4-2. Dewey answered with a driving score, but Weeter soon scored on a short drive after an offensive rebound. On the next Plainville possession, Dewey made 1 of 2 after being fouled on a drive. Lauren Johnson added a top-of-the-key trey extending the advantage to 9-5. Again, Dewey made 1 of 2 after being fouled on another drive. A basket in the lane by Bracelin extended the Lady Indian lead to five. Willow Hunt (5' 5" Sr.) then added 1 of 2 from the stripe after being fouled on an offensive rebound. It was the first point scored by a Lady Cardinal other than Dewey. St. Francis extended the margin to 16-7 with the addition of a free-throw jumper by Emileigh Dinkel and top-of-the-key trey by Karly Bandel. After another driving score by Dewey, St. Francis called time-out at 2:42 leading 16-9. On the first possession after the time-out, Plainville's Maeson Dewey (5' 10" Sr. and older sister of Aubree) scored in the post. On the next Lady Cardinal possession, Maeson added a banking trey from the top-of-the-key. The basket narrowed the advantage to 16-14 at 1:53. At 1:12, a Lady Indian turnover led to a basket by Jersey Kaiser (5' 4" So.) tying the game. Aubree Dewey would strike again, calmly draining a trey in the closing seconds of the quarter. St. Francis trailed 16-19 after one period of play.

On the opening possession of the second period, Maeson Dewey swished a right-wing trey increasing the deficit to 16-22. After an exchange of free-throws (3 of 4 by Hanna Bracelin; 1 of 2 by Kaiser), Plainville used a time-out at 5:53. After returning to action, Aubree Dewey added a floater in the lane and Maeson Dewey a post basket extending the margin to 19-27. St. Francis called time out to regroup. The deficit continued to grow. After free-throws by Aubree Dewey and Lindsey Johnson (each 1-of-2), Dewey drained a right-wing trey extending the deficit to eleven (20-31). In approximately six minutes, Plainville had out-scored St. Francis 4-20. Many of the scores had followed Lady Indian turnovers. Dewey squeezed another driving score between a bucket by Lindsey Johnson and a left-wing basket by Jylian Laten. The Lady Indians scored two more baskets to close the half; an out-of-bounds play score by Lauren Johnson and an offensive rebound by Lindsey Johnson. St. Francis trailed at halftime 28-33. Kathryn McClellan (5' 11" Jr.) scored from the left-elbow (plus one), Maeson Dewey added an stick-back basket, and Aubree Dewey a driving score following a St. Francis turnover. The deficit was now 32-44. Emileigh Dinkel made 1-of-2 after earning a steal, and at 3:28, Plainville used a time-out. After the break, Plainville's Halli Friend (5' 3" So.) buried a right-wing trey extending the deficit to 14 (33-47). On the next possession, Lauren Johnson scored in the lane on an assist by Bracelin. Another St. Francis turnover led to a coast-to-coast drive by Aubree Dewey. A left-wing trey by Dinkel and two free-throws by Lauren Johnson decreased the deficit to nine (40-49) at 1:11. The final score of the quarter came on another drive by Dewey. St. Francis trailed 40-51 at the third-quarter break.

A right-wing shot by Willow Hunt opened the final period. Maeson Dewey followed with a right-corner trey increasing the deficit to 16 (40-56). The Lady Indians continued to battle and soon added a lane bucket by Hanna Bracelin. A blocked shot by Bracelin on the defensive end then led to a left-wing trey by Bracelin. At 6:01, St. Francis called time-out. After the time-out, Bracelin added a top-of-the-key deuce narrowing the margin to 9. Unfortunately, another Lady Indian turnover followed leading to a lay-up by Dewey. At 4:30, Plainville called time-out and returned to the floor to play keep-away while using clock. The Lady Indians remained in their zone defense, and played chase. After a defensive stop, an assist by Lindsey Johnson set up a Bracelin score on a cut to the rim. At 3:05, Taighe Weeter's assist led to a Bracelin score from the right-wing. At 1:55, the Lady Indians used another time-out still trailing by seven (51-58). Six seconds later, Dewey drained 2-of-2. At 1:39, Bracelin swished a right-wing trey (assist Lindsey Johnson). The Lady Indians were needing to foul to preserve clock. At 1:13, Friend sank 1-of-2. Bracelin answered with 1-of-2 at the opposite end at 1:02. Aubree Dewey sank 1-of-2 with 40 seconds remaining, and the Lady Cardinals took another time-out. After a St. Francis miss, Plainville earned an offensive rebound and was fouled. Though the Lady Cardinal missed both free-throws, a Lady Indian turnover led to another run-out lay-up by Dewey (55-63). Kaiser added one more free-throw to Plainville's total with 17 seconds remaining. Weeter scored on an offensive rebound to close the game. St. Francis lost to a good Plainville team 57-64.
