Jr. High Tracksters Compete in Atwood
On Tuesday, April 9, the junior high track teams opened their season with competition at the Rawlins County Junior High Track and Field Invitational. The young tracksters gave good effort and turned in some good performances during the day. Eight teams competed in the meet.
Girls Division
In the girls division, St. Francis placed 7th as a team scoring 33 points. Quinter won the meet with 100 team points. Decatur Community earned second place with 93 points. The rest of the field placed in the following order: 3rd - Golden Plains 88, 4th - Wallace County 81, 5th - Rawlins County 79, 6th - Hoxie 47, 7th - St. Francis - 33, 8th - Cheylin 6.

4 X 200 meter relay - 6th - Molly Gilliland, Matilynn Smull, Aspen Tiegs, and Bree De Waal (2:25.46)
4 X 400 meter relay - 4th - Jacki Milliken, Rian Zimbal, Jesslynn Houtman, and Ellee Krien (5:08.14)
Boys Division
The Indians placed 6th in the team standings with 47 team points. Quinter won the meet earning 139 points while Rawlins County placed second with 121. Hoxie placed 3rd with 82. The remainder of the teams placed in the following order: 4th - Cheylin 66, 5th - Wallace County 51, 6th - St., Francis 47, 7th - Decatur Community 19, and 8th - Golden Plains 2.

The track teams will compete in the St. Francis Junior High Invitational on Tuesday, April 16.
