Indians Win Own Invitational

Lady Indians Seventh

The St. Francis Indians scored 133 team points to win the St. Francis Invitational Track and Field Meet on Tuesday, April 23. The Lady Indians placed seventh in the nine-team field. Competing teams included Brewster, Cheylin, Decatur Community, Dundy County, Golden Plains, Rawlins County, St. Francis, Triplains, and Wallace County. St. Francis had several event winners including Mia Morrow - triple jump; Jordan Raby - 100 meter dash; Cody Baxter - 300 meter hurdles; Shadryon Blanka - javelin; Tiernan Poling - pole vault; and the boys 4 X 100 meter relay team consisting of Keigan Taylor, Garin Cooper, Brady Dinkel, and Shadryon Blanka.

Girls Division

Wallace County won the girls division of the St. Francis Invitational scoring 132.5 team points. Rawlins County placed second with 124. The remainder of the girls teams finished in the following order:  3rd - Golden Plains 70; 4th - Cheylin 54.5; 5th - Decatur Community 53.5; 6th - Dundy County 52; 7th - St. Francis 42.5; and 8th - Triplains 14. Brewster did not score in the girls division.

Jessica Confer - 5th in discus (95' 0")

Hadleigh Hilt - 5th in 3200 meters (18:48.13)

Lauren Johnson - 6th in javelin (70' 6")

Lyden Lampe - 6th in 1600 meters (6:47.73)

Kara Maybury - 3rd in 1600 meters (6:31.17)

Mia Morrow - 1st in triple jump (30' 10"); 4th in 100 meters (14.30)

Mireya Palasio-Rocha - 5th in high jump (3' 10")

Kattie Wurm - 6th in long jump (13' 7")

Hannah Zimbal - 2nd in 800 meters (2:36.88)

4 X 100 meter relay - 3rd (54.69) - Mia Morrow, Lindsey Johnson, Emma Johnson, and Hanna Zimbal

 

Boys Division

St. Francis won the boys division with 133 team points. Wallace County placed second with 107.5. The rest of the boys teams finished in the following order:  3rd - Dundy County 82; 4th - Golden Plains 64; 5th - Brewster 58; 6th - Cheylin 46; 7th - Decatur Community 32; 8th - Triplains 28.5; and 9th - Rawlins County 5.

Jesse Baxter - 4th in discus (112' 7")

Shadryon Blanka - 1st in javelin (137" 9"); 4th in shot put (40' 7"); 4th in triple jump (38' 4.75")

Garin Cooper - 4th in long jump (18' 0.25"); 6th in triple jump (36' 6.75")

Brady Dinkel - 2nd in 200 meters (23.90)

Connor Keller - 4th in high jump (5' 6")

Adam Krien - 4th in javelin (132' 5")

K.C. Krien - 3rd in 800 meters (2:15.65)

Isaiah Lee - 3rd in long jump (18' 6.75")

Arthur Mourao - 5th in 110 meter hurdles (29.22)

Jayce Nider - 4th in 400 meters (54.81)

Tiernan Poling - 1st in pole vault (12' 0"); 3rd in triple jump (38' 6.75")

Bryce Raby - 5th in 1600 meters (5:25.28)

Jordan Raby - 1st in 100 meters (11.77); 2nd in 400 meters (53.13); 3rd in 200 meters (24.34)

Keigan Taylor - 5th in 100 meters (12.15)

4 X 100 meter relay - 1st (45.66) - Keigan Taylor, Garin Cooper, and Brady Dinkel

4 X 400 meter relay - 4th (4:03.03) - Bryce Raby, Isaiah Lee, Conner Keller, and Shannon Rethke

4 X 800 meter relay - 4th (10:21.93) - Bryce Raby, Eli Mills, Gregor Burr, and Dario Montrone
