Accelerated Reader Awards Announced
On Friday, May 16th, St. Francis Elementary School held a special assembly to recognize the outstanding efforts of students in the Accelerated Reader program. Students (and parents) have been working hard all year to improve reading skills through the AR program. The top readers for each class with a percentage of 86% or above were awarded a certificate and a coupon for a medium sundae at the Dairy King. Class winners were: 1st Grade--KC Krien and Jessica Confer; 2nd Grade--Zoe Sundstrom and Matthisen Witzel; 3rd Grade--Kenny Leibbrandt and Sophie White; 4th Grade--Jude Faulkender and Kattie Jenik; 5th Grade--Mariah Beikman and McKayla Taylor; and 6th Grade--Randee Grover and Katie McDanel. Receiving the Overall Top Reader Award for St. Francis Elementary School was Katie McDanel.
