Echoe Selected to All-State Mixed Choir

EchoeEchoe Lennox will be representing St. Francis Community High School in the Kansas Music Educators Association All-State Mixed Choir this weekend in Wichita. Echoe was selected by audition to sing with the best of the best at the KMEA All-State Choir. Echoe's audition in November of 2018 placed her in the Top 256 vocalists in the state in the 1A, 2A, 3A, and 4A classifications. She will travel to Wichita on Wednesday and check-in for rehearsal on Thursday morning. The All-State Choir will rehearse for a day and a half in preparation for a concert to be presented at Century II in Wichita at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 23.
Echoe is the second student in (known) SFCHS history to be chosen for this elite honor. The first was Katelyn Jones in 2008.
April Fernandez and Doyle Easter were chosen as All-State Choir alternates in their voice parts but have not yet received a call to go this weekend.
