Fall Sports Open House Held
The HS Fall Sports Open House was held in the High School Gym on Thursday, August 29. Preceding the Open House, the Booster Club sponsored a taco bar meal in the High School Cafeteria. Activities Director Carl Werner made several opening comments and then introduced Tracy Neitzel, vice-president of the Indian Booster Club. Traci spoke about the benefits of the Booster Club and encouraged everyone to join. Mr. Werner then introducted the fall sports coaches.
Cheer and dance coach Killy Lampe introduced the cheer and dance squads. Holly Lampe introduced the cross country team. ShayLinn Zweygardt introduced the volleyball team followed by Coach Nick Fawcett's introduction of the high school football team.
After the introductions, a short volleyball scrimmage was held in the high school gym. The football team held a controlled scrimmage on Greene Field.
The volleyball team will open their season on Friday, August 30, at Lone Star, Colorado. The football team will play Wallace County on Friday, September 6 in Sharon Springs. The first competition for the cross country team will be on Saturday, September 7, in Leoti.
